Description The Thistle was adopted over 700 years ago as the emblem of Scotland, when according to legend it was responsible for signalling the clandestine approach of a horde of bare-footed invaders. This is a brooch that not only has the iconic Thistle at its centre but also features a delicate Celtic Interlace pattern.  Measuring  4cm diameter. Made in Scotland from old fashioned Pewter, all are supplied in a distinctive pillow gift box with general historical notes.
