FSC1 – Yarn Wound Suspended Cymbal Mallets (sold in pairs)

My Freer Percussion suspended cymbal mallets are an exact replica of what we have used in the Cleveland Orchestra for over 50 years now. These were especially designed for suspended cymbals, although they do sound great on marimba so go ahead. These replicas were back engineered from a pair of 1920’s model yarn mallets that I received with my 1935 King George marimba. The core is heavy hard rubber custom made for this model and match the weight and durometer of the original vintage cores. The Yarn is a wool blend which is very tightly wound. This allows your cymbal strokes to speak instantly with the right amount of weight to get any size cymbal going quickly whether it’s rolls or strokes at all dynamics.
